Walnuts

 

Eaten whole, walnuts are naturally nourishing. Modern research indicates that approximately 90% of phenols (antioxidants) in walnuts are found in the skin. They also contain an unusual form of Vitamin E, the alpha-tocopherol form (think healthy skin). Some phytonutrients found in walnuts, like quinone juglone, are found in virtually no other common foods.
